Adjunct faculty members are needed for the Department of English and Modern Languages at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). Resumes will be reviewed as needed for each semester. For Fall 2025, the department seeks candidates who can teach on campus in Princess Anne, Maryland. We are specifically seeking instructors for socio-linguistics courses and digital humanities courses. Occasionally the department might need instructors who can teach online. Successful candidates will demonstrate an understanding of the mission and value of an HBCU education and be able to speak fluently on the dynamics of race, gender, and social inclusivity in their teaching.
