About The Position

UFP Technologies is a designer and custom manufacturer of comprehensive solutions for medical devices, sterile packaging, and other highly engineered custom products. UFP is an important link in the medical device supply chain and a valued outsource partner to most of the top medical device manufacturers in the world. The Company's single-use and single-patient devices and components are used in a wide range of medical devices and packaging for minimally invasive surgery, infection prevention, wound care, wearables, orthopedic soft goods, and orthopedic implants. The Accounting Information Systems (AIS) Analyst provides support for various systems and/or applications by working with business users and technical teams, with a primary focus on accounting systems. The AIS Analyst must be an expert in the accounting applications of the system and possess a working knowledge of related applications or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules. Maintenance of current system/industry related knowledge by the AIS Analyst on system functionality is vital to meet the needs of the business users. The AIS Analyst must be capable of querying data and basic reporting from ERP platforms. We are looking for a detail-oriented AIS Analyst to manage, troubleshoot, and enhance our company's accounting systems. Responsibilities will include analyzing our accounting systems' performance, performing upgrades, implementing new systems, and collaborating with the accounting team to ensure accuracy. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles and information technology, with a focus on accounting systems such as Epicor, SAP, or Oracle. The primary objective is to ensure our company's financial data is accurate, secure, and supports our financial goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5 to 7 (minimum) years of proven experience as an Accounting Information Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with the accounting modules of ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, or Oracle (Epicor strongly preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems.
• Experienced with MS-SQL and relational database concepts.
• Technical report writing experience strongly preferred.
• Some experience leading teams and projects.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant certifications such as CPA or CISA, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
• Formulates systems to satisfy business requirements.
• Understands and writes the functional requirements in accordance with SOX and other related quality requirements.
• Develops test plans and procedures for system changes and the deployment of small projects.
• Leads complex systems projects and project groups.
• Assesses and troubleshoots current accounting systems.
• Identifies system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
• Supports accounting team's automation initiatives.
• Works closely with the accounting and IT teams to ensure accuracy of financial data and system reliability.
• Designs and implements upgrades and new systems as required.
• Trains end-users on new systems and protocols.
• Stays updated with new technologies and regulations that may affect the organization's accounting information system.
• Performs all other duties as needed.
