About the position
We are seeking early sales hires to bring Watershed, a software platform for running climate programs, to more companies. As a founding member of our go-to-market organization, you will be responsible for selling Watershed, developing the sales playbook, expanding into new market segments, shaping the product strategy, becoming an expert in climate, and helping build the sales team. The successful candidate will have relevant sales experience in a SaaS organization, a track record of sales excellence with strategic customers, and the ability to prospect new business in a new territory. This role offers the opportunity to build something from scratch and make a significant impact in the climate space.
Responsibilities
- Sell Watershed to leading lighthouse logos within FTSE/DAX/CAC 40 companies
- Educate companies about effective climate programs and help them succeed with Watershed
- Own the full lifecycle of the sales process, from first outbound to contract signature
- Develop the Watershed sales playbook for winning lighthouse logos
- Take Watershed into new market segments
- Share customer feedback to shape Watershed's product strategy
- Become an expert in climate and educate companies on carbon reduction targets, clean energy, carbon removal, and decarbonizing their supply chain
- Help build the sales team
- Have relevant sales experience in a SaaS organization
- Demonstrate sales excellence, especially with strategic customers at an executive level
- Prospect new business in a new territory
- Lead from zero to one and build new playbooks for navigating organizations and telling the Watershed story
- Be an excellent consultative seller, helping customers solve their problems
- Have experience selling products in complex or technical fields and becoming an expert in the subject matter
Requirements
- Relevant sales experience in a SaaS organization
- Track record of sales excellence, especially with strategic customers at an executive level
- Experience prospecting new business in a new territory
- Ability to lead from zero to one and build things from scratch
- Excellent consultative selling skills
- Ability to listen deeply to customers and help them solve their problems
- Experience selling products in complex or technical fields
- Voraciously curious and excited to learn about climate and help companies navigate this space
