About The Position

EnSafe is currently accepting applications for an Environmental Project Manager Engineer/Geologist. Successful candidates will have 5-10 years of experience in the environmental consulting field to join our team working from either of our Florida offices (Pensacola, Jacksonville, or Tampa). EnSafe is an employee-owned global environmental consulting and engineering firm. We strive to provide cutting-edge, creative solutions for our clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering; Geology or Hydrogeology; Geoscience-related degree.
  • EIT or GIT is required.
  • P.E or P.G. certification is preferred.
  • 5-10 Years of relevant experience in the field of environmental assessment/remediation.
  • Experience performing and/or reviewing Phase I ESAs.
  • Knowledge or experience in RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD, LTM) and documentation.
  • HAZWOPER training and certification.
  • Valid driver's license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
  • Experience with federal projects and/or working with DoD/Navy projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft program products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with dynamic project teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel to support ongoing projects, including overnight stays (estimated 30% regional travel).

Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing project work associated with environmental investigations and remediation oversight under CERCLA, RCRA, and state-specific guidance.
  • Leading technical teams working across multiple offices throughout the country, problem-solving, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors.
  • Communicating with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Developing Work Plans and/or Sampling and Analysis Plans.
  • Conducting site investigation activities, including sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, and building materials.
  • Leading Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
  • Compiling and interpreting investigation data and writing technical reports.
  • Evaluating the feasibility of technologies, designing pilot/bench tests, and designing and implementing remedial/corrective actions.
  • Providing environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation, and assessment.
  • Supporting marketing/business development efforts.
