About The Position

Southeast Missouri State University's Marketing & Communication department is seeking a talented and motivated Web SEO Strategist to enhance our online presence, drive organic traffic, and improve our search engine rankings. This full-time position will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective SEO strategies that align with the university's strategic goals. The SEO Strategist will work closely with the marketing team to ensure that digital content is not only engaging but also optimized for search engines, thereby increasing visibility and attracting prospective students and stakeholders. The SEO Strategist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for content optimization. This includes writing SEO-friendly digital content that targets specific keywords, monitoring and analyzing website performance using various SEO tools and analytics platforms, and providing regular reports and insights to the team. The role also involves performing both on-page and off-page optimization, which includes managing meta tags, link building, and making content recommendations to improve search rankings. Staying current with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices is essential for this position to ensure that Southeast Missouri State University remains competitive in search rankings. The strategist will also conduct competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in our SEO strategy, and provide training and guidance to internal teams to promote SEO best practices across the organization. Collaboration with team members is key to achieving university goals, creating effective campaigns, and elevating the SEMO brand.
