About The Position

As a Transportation Planning Intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks that contribute to our mission of solving the world's most complex problems. This role is designed for individuals who are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in fields such as urban planning, transportation, sociology, economics, civil engineering, or data science. You will be involved in conducting background research on specific locations, strategies, or policies, which is crucial for understanding the context of our projects. Your responsibilities will include data collection and analysis, which may involve both desktop data collection and fieldwork. You will also be tasked with completing and documenting technical analyses, as well as report writing and the production of planning-related graphics and maps. This position requires proficiency in various analytical tools, including Excel, PowerBI, GIS, R, and FME, and may also involve using more specialized tools such as Massmotion, SYNCHRO, Vissim, HASTUS, and Remix, depending on the project requirements. In addition to technical tasks, you will attend team, consultant, and client meetings, which will enhance your communication and interpersonal skills. Developing presentations and collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines will also be part of your role, allowing you to gain knowledge on new subjects and contribute to the projects our team works on.
