HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is seeking a Swim Coach to join the aquatics team at YK Fitness Center in Bethel, AK. In this role, you will be responsible for providing engaging and safe swim instruction for both youth and adults who are interested in joining a swim team or swimming for fitness. Your primary focus will be to design practices and workouts tailored to meet the varying abilities and goals of participants. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with hours varying between early mornings and evenings, totaling approximately 3-5 hours per week. As a Swim Coach, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and enjoyable environment for all participants, helping them to improve their swimming skills and achieve their fitness objectives. At HealthFitness, we pride ourselves on creating meaningful connections with our participants, and as a Swim Coach, you will be instrumental in this mission. You will not only teach swimming techniques but also inspire confidence and a love for the water among your students. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be essential in delivering clear instructions and feedback. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, energetic, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, you will need to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems as part of your responsibilities. This position is ideal for individuals who have a background in competitive swimming and/or coaching experience in competitive or fitness swimming.
