About The Position
As a Stockroom Associate at NAPA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the parts they need in a timely manner. This position is based in our Distribution Center Warehouse in Billings, MT, where you will be responsible for expediting incoming and outgoing freight. Your day-to-day tasks will include receiving, stocking, pulling, staging, loading, and shipping freight, all while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You will also be tasked with processing inventory and maximizing warehouse space usage to ensure efficiency in operations. In this role, you will check, verify, load, stock, and pull inventory to meet store and customer orders. You will unpack parts shipments from suppliers and pull orders for standard customer stock orders, special orders, and will-call demands. Accuracy is key, as you will need to route products appropriately and meet the prescribed picking quota set by management. Utilizing electronic scan-gun technology, you will review outbound customer orders for pulling accuracy, ensure safe packing for shipment, and label shipping trays/packages in accordance with D.O.T. standards and hazardous material regulations. Safety is paramount in this position. You will be responsible for cleaning up and disposing of boxes, packing materials, and pallets, as well as maintaining general housekeeping of the facility. You will also perform daily inspections of motorized and manual equipment, including lift gates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Operating warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures is essential to maintain stock levels and ensure a safe working environment.
