About The Position
The Senior Manager Software Security position at Lenovo is a pivotal role within the Security Center of Excellence for the PC and Smart Devices business (PCSD). This position involves leading a global team of software security engineers and development security champions to assess and enhance the security posture of both Lenovo-developed and third-party applications for Windows and Android devices. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple development teams across Lenovo, ensuring that secure development practices are adhered to and that security champions are effectively reviewing applications preinstalled on Lenovo devices. In this role, you will be at the forefront of addressing the security challenges posed by a diverse range of products, including PCs, IoT devices, mobile applications, and augmented and virtual reality devices. As a Software Security Architect, you will be part of Lenovo's Global Security Lab, where your responsibilities will include conducting security assessments, risk-ranking identified threats, and prioritizing mitigation and remediation activities. You will also play a crucial role in training development teams on secure development best practices and performing security code reviews of application source code. Your expertise will be essential in participating in software design sessions, analyzing secure design and architecture, and acting as a trusted advisor to product development and engineering teams. You will be responsible for defining security requirements, evaluating necessary tools, and refining processes to ensure thorough security reviews. Staying current with the latest security tools and methodologies, particularly in relation to Windows and mobile app development, will be a key aspect of your role. As a Secure Development Lifecycle evangelist, you will guide and train teams on effectively applying secure development practices, ensuring that Lenovo's diverse product and technology portfolio is designed, developed, and delivered securely for customers.
