The Senior Analyst, eCommerce Search will play a pivotal role in enhancing the online search experience across Airgas's digital platforms. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about leveraging search optimization techniques and technology to improve the search functionality of our e-commerce environment. Reporting directly to the Manager of eCommerce Search, the Senior Analyst will collaborate closely with various internal business partners to ensure that the search experience meets the evolving expectations of our customers. This role involves monitoring, reporting, and analyzing search activity to guide enhancements that deliver a satisfying search experience. In this position, you will serve as the subject matter expert on our search toolsets, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement in our search tools and algorithms. You will support the development and implementation of our search roadmap, working alongside Digital Product Management and Development teams to define development requirements that enhance the shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the search platform's roadmap and new features, championing the use of new functionalities that improve search performance, and leveraging customer research to identify key opportunities for enhancing the search experience. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with Merchandising and UX designers to devise, document, and test new search strategies tailored to specific customer segments. You will also create and execute onsite search merchandising activities, ensuring that products and promotions are positioned effectively to drive revenue growth. Analyzing customer journey conversion paths and modifying dynamic search-related landing pages will be essential to support an improved onsite experience. Additionally, you will investigate user search queries and behavior, monitor all facets of onsite search activity, and recommend optimizations to improve relevance and ranking. Partnering with the Merchandising and Analytics teams, you will design and build search metrics and scorecards to provide visibility into the overall health of search. This role requires a proactive approach to collaborating with various teams to develop and implement scalable onsite search and merchandising processes that meet customer demands.
