The position supports the U.S. Navy's Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) Salesforce applications by managing the migration, integration, iterative development, and sustainment of a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) infrastructure. The primary goal is to maximize the Out-Of-the-Box (OOTB) features and functionalities for Navy HR adoption. The role involves a comprehensive understanding of Salesforce and its capabilities, requiring the individual to effectively manage and customize Salesforce organizations from a technical perspective. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, configuring, and deploying VisualForce, Apex, and Lightning Components within a collaborative team environment. This includes designing, building, and implementing custom applications on the Salesforce platform, utilizing both declarative capabilities and custom coding when necessary. The role also entails developing enterprise CRM mid-tier components of a web-driven n-tier application framework in a Salesforce CRM environment, customizing visual layouts, and integrating third-party components and systems. Collaboration is key, as the individual will work closely with Information Architects, Senior Developers, and Product Owners to address user needs, while also partnering with Creative Technologists to produce effective and functional solutions that maintain design integrity across all project phases. The position requires participation in application design, configuration, testing, and deployment, producing deliverables such as solution definitions, effort estimations, requirements, test scripts, specifications, and status reports. Additionally, the candidate will work with the Test Team to develop well-defined test scripts for user stories, perform unit and integration testing, troubleshoot and debug the system, and produce relevant test documentation. The role also includes the development of software design and training documentation, building a cross-platform and cross-browser front-end in a DevOps environment with continuous integration, regression testing, and deployment. Following Agile software development methodology and team architecture and application security standards is essential, as is participating in design, peer reviews, code, and test inspections throughout the lifecycle to identify issues and defects. Building and maintaining trust and respect with clients is also a critical aspect of this role.
