The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is a pivotal role within Floor & Decor, primarily responsible for driving outside commercial sales, lead generation, client procurement, and managing commercial jobs. This position focuses on selling Floor & Decor's Commercial products to medium and large institutional buyers. The RAM will engage in daily sales calls to existing customers while also prospecting for new accounts, ensuring a robust pipeline of business opportunities. The role requires a proactive approach to building relationships with builders, developers, designers, contractors, and other key decision-makers involved in the sales and installation process. In addition to direct sales efforts, the RAM will collaborate closely with the Inside Commercial Sales team and the Commercial Support Center to source, bid, and manage large commercial projects. This includes overseeing the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion, which encompasses identifying opportunities, product selection, order placement, tracking deliveries, coordinating installations, and managing any claims that may arise. The RAM must maintain a keen awareness of local market trends and customer needs to effectively position Floor & Decor's offerings. The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The RAM will also be responsible for submitting proposals and responding to requests for quotes (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs), ensuring that all customer requirements are met in a timely manner. Participation in trade associations and trade shows is also expected to enhance visibility and promote the company's products.
