About The Position
Cape Rep Theatre, a small professional non-union theater located in Brewster, Cape Cod, is excited to announce an opening for a Production Stage Manager for our upcoming world premiere musical comedy, "Pickle Me Tink" by Seton Brown. This position is seasonal and will play a crucial role in the successful execution of the production. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of stage management, ensuring that rehearsals and performances run smoothly and efficiently. The production schedule is set to begin with rehearsals on October 7, 2024, and will continue through the performance run from November 6 to December 8, 2024. The Production Stage Manager will be expected to manage the scheduling of rehearsals, coordinate production meetings, and ensure that all performances are executed flawlessly. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and leadership, as the stage manager will be the primary point of contact for the production team and cast. In addition to managing the rehearsal and performance schedules, the Production Stage Manager will be responsible for generating all necessary paperwork, including call sheets, rehearsal reports, and other documentation essential for the production process. The ability to interface effectively with the production staff and maintain a collaborative environment is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stage management and be comfortable operating technical equipment, including an ETC Ion light board and QLab for sound and media playback.
