The Patient Care Partner position at Encore Medical Center is a vital role within the nursing support team, specifically designed for the Acute Care Unit (ACU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This position is responsible for assisting clinical team members in delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Patient Care Partner will engage in a variety of tasks that are essential for maintaining a patient-focused care environment. This includes greeting patients warmly, ensuring their comfort, and actively participating in the admission process by preparing necessary documentation and assisting with ID bands and consent forms. In addition to administrative duties, the Patient Care Partner plays a crucial role in direct patient care. This includes assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, hygiene, and meals, as well as performing range of motion exercises and helping with patient mobility. The role requires keen observation skills to monitor changes in patients' conditions and report these to the registered nurse promptly. The Patient Care Partner is also responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to standard precautions to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Technical responsibilities include performing Point of Care procedures, monitoring vital signs, and collecting specimens. The Patient Care Partner will also assist with clerical tasks as needed, ensuring that the clinical team has the necessary support to provide effective patient care.
