About The Position

The NC New Teacher Support Program Instructional Coach at the University of North Carolina Wilmington is responsible for managing a cohort of beginning teachers in various schools and districts. The Instructional Coach will collaborate with NC NTSP staff, school leadership, and educational institutions to ensure comprehensive support for new teachers.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Five years of teaching experience with a record of leading diverse groups of students to achieve outcomes.
• Strong coaching and mentoring experience, particularly in professional development settings.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of North Carolina's educational systems and teacher preparation.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated leadership in public school or higher education settings.
• Experience with edTPA rubrics and teacher preparation models.
• Understanding of research and evaluation strategies for educational programs.
• Strong organizational and data management skills.
