About The Position
Dynamic Plastics Inc. is seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our team in the creation of precision molds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making repairs or adjustments to existing molds, utilizing precision tools and CAD data to create new molds. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, as the mold maker will be tasked with assembling, repairing, inspecting, cleaning, and polishing molds while handling and polishing critical surfaces with care. The position also involves completing engineering changes and revisions to molds, as well as manufacturing new or repairing existing mold components as required. The mold maker will interpret drawings and evaluate machining methods on assignments that may require instructions from the Tool Room Supervisor, particularly on intricate machining setups. Precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions is essential, and the mold maker may recommend revisions in design or substitutions in material based on machine ability or fabrication problems encountered. Additionally, the role includes assisting in solving problems related to unusual materials, work-holding arrangements, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production processes. This position is full-time and offers a dynamic work environment with a diverse customer base, including sectors such as Medical, Defense, Automotive, and Electronic Technology.
