Machine Operator 2nd Shift - 3:00pm-11:30pm OMG Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fastening products and technologies for the commercial roofing and construction industries worldwide. The Machine Operator uses Cold Heading, Roll Threading, Pointing, and Cellular Manufacturing to produce parts according to specifications and Kanban card requirements. The Machine Operator must be a team player and committed to delivering only the best quality to our customers. This position requires a strong focus on safety, as it is the number one priority for all OMG employees. The operator will set up machines, observe operations, and inspect the first run and sample work pieces to ensure machining conforms to specifications. Reading blueprints or job orders for product and job specifications such as wire type, dimensions, tolerances, number of parts to be run, and tooling instructions is essential. In addition to setting up and adjusting specified tooling, the Machine Operator will perform routine lubrication and preventative maintenance inspections as required. The role also involves assisting other machine operators with machine setup, as well as stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished work pieces. Maintaining a neat and well-organized work area is crucial, and the operator will perform other tasks as assigned to support the team and production goals.
