Our Legal Writers work closely with Fragomen Attorneys on drafting and writing the most complex cases. As a Legal Writer at Fragomen, you will research, analyze, and write complex business immigration cases. You will translate complex terminology into accessible, compelling, and relevant content for petitions to government entities. You will create case strategies and work closely with attorneys on writing projects, ensuring the accuracy of all information. This role requires you to work independently and manage multiple writing projects simultaneously while possessing a strong understanding of or the ability to learn immigration law and the firm's network of clients, cases, and legal teams. You will apply excellent proofreading and editing skills to case-writing content and other materials, meet assigned deadlines, and communicate case progress, status, and issues to your supervisor. Additionally, you will act as a source of technical expertise for the team, demonstrating the ability to research complex technical issues and formulate solutions. Proactively escalating complex client issues to stakeholders and actively contributing to issue resolution will also be part of your responsibilities. You will engage, collaborate, and share knowledge with teams locally and regionally, assisting in the continuous review and improvement of practices and processes within the team. Using Connect and other firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols is essential, as is following documented firm standards and policy to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory, operational, and client compliance.
