About The Position
As an Inspector Aide at WSB, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of roadway construction and maintenance projects. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing roadway plans, managing contracted projects, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications and design standards. You will be expected to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate work required by contracts and to enforce field compliance. This position requires performing complex mathematical calculations and completing necessary documentation to support project execution. Additionally, you will coordinate contracts, amendments, and task work orders, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are managed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roadway construction and maintenance, with at least two years of technical experience in the field. You will need to possess the FDOT Advanced MOT Certification and have a solid understanding of the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, as well as the FDOT Roadway and Traffic Design Standards. Knowledge of the American Disability Act (ADA) requirements is also essential. This role demands the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and rain, and requires a natural ability to communicate and interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
