About The Position
As a Hair Stylist Intern at Great Clips, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of cosmetology and barbering while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. This internship is designed specifically for cosmetology or barber students who are eager to jump-start their careers in the beauty industry. You will be part of a locally owned Great Clips salon team, where you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to help you develop your skills and gain essential salon experience. At Great Clips, we believe in the importance of education and continuous learning. Our franchisee, Seaco, Inc., operates five Great Clips salons in the Bellingham, Ferndale, Burlington, and Oak Harbor areas, and is committed to providing you with the tools and resources necessary for your success. You will have access to excellent ongoing training, both hands-on and virtual, allowing you to learn at your own pace while still receiving guidance from experienced professionals. During your internship, you will familiarize yourself with a successful and stable salon brand, develop meaningful relationships with a diverse team of salon professionals, and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to expand your talent. This includes advanced training in cutting techniques, customer service, product knowledge, and salon operations. By the end of your internship, you will gain confidence in your professional and technical expertise, setting yourself up for a successful career in the beauty industry.
