About The Position
The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach the German Language program on-site in Wiesbaden, Germany. This position is part-time and requires a commitment to engaging adult learners in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in German Literature and Language or a related field from an accredited institution. Professional experience in the field is essential, along with a strong preference for candidates who have experience teaching adult learners in higher education settings. Local applicants are encouraged to apply, as adjunct faculty positions do not qualify for UMGC-sponsored logistical support. Candidates must maintain their own legal status to teach in Germany. As an adjunct faculty member, you will play a crucial role in fostering student success by actively engaging with students through frequent interactions that motivate them and convey enthusiasm for their learning. You will guide students in collaborative projects and problem-based learning, providing constructive feedback and utilizing effective assessment rubrics.
