About The Position

Texas Instruments is seeking an Engineering Lab Technician Intern to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for various technical functions that support product development lab engineering activities. This includes tasks such as design, testing, modification, fabrication, assembly, characterization, functional validation, and electrical analysis of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, specialized test equipment, and/or integrated circuit (IC) devices. You will utilize test and diagnostic equipment, schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and defined plans to perform operational testing, checkout, and fault isolation on systems and equipment. As an Engineering Lab Technician Intern, you will also conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work. Additionally, you will maintain lab processes and documentation in accordance with IATF 16949 standards. The work may involve repetitive motion and some heavy lifting, with weights up to 75 lbs. This internship is a temporary position lasting 3-6 months, providing you with the opportunity to shadow and learn to perform vital preventative maintenance on semiconductor factory equipment in a cleanroom environment. This position is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in a Technical Certificate or Associate's Degree Program in relevant fields such as Electrical/Electronic Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Instrumentation Technology, Automated Industrial Technology, Robotics and Controls Technology, Nanoengineering and Nanotechnology, or Electron Microscopy.
