The Cyber Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in the identification, interpretation, and dissemination of information essential for protecting SECU members and assets from various threat actors. This position is integral to the intelligence production, collection, processing, and engagement with both the Cyber Defense Team (Security Operations Center) and the broader Information Security team. The analyst will be responsible for producing reports tailored for a diverse customer base and will work on improving existing production processes. Continuous intelligence operations will be a key focus, which includes proactive monitoring, collection, and reporting of relevant data. Additionally, the analyst will participate in external engagements with partner organizations and information-sharing entities to enhance the overall security posture of SECU. The role requires a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, while also being comfortable with self-initiating new projects. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the analyst will need to synthesize intelligence for various audiences, including executives. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in information security, particularly in threat intelligence, security operations, or incident response. A solid understanding of the threat intelligence lifecycle and its application within SECU is necessary, along with knowledge of OSINT gathering and analysis, experience with threat intelligence platforms, and familiarity with the technical aspects of cyber-attacks and security controls. The analyst will also need to synthesize data clearly and concisely for different audiences, ensuring that the information is accessible and actionable.
