About The Position

As an Associate Sales Engineer in the BEST (Building Engineering Sales Training) Program at Johnson Controls, you will embark on a 6-month technical sales development journey designed specifically for recent college graduates. This program aims to equip you with the necessary skills to strategically sell Johnson Controls' Fire products and services to commercial customers. You will leverage your technical engineering knowledge and business acumen to engage with customers, understanding their product and project needs while serving as a subject matter expert. Throughout the program, you will participate in a comprehensive training regimen that includes classroom instruction, field orientation, and hands-on job training. This multifaceted approach will prepare you to consult effectively with architects, engineers, and building owners regarding product selections. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with internal experts and contribute to achieving business goals. As a vital member of a local sales team, you will be part of a broader national network of sales professionals, enhancing your learning and professional growth. Your role will involve estimating job bids, preparing proposals, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors. You will conduct sales calls to generate new business and strengthen existing relationships, present tailored solutions to customers, and collect and analyze market intelligence. Additionally, you will facilitate the transition of projects to the operations team for execution and installation, ensuring a seamless process from sales to delivery.
