About The Position

The Office of Graduate Medical Education at the University at Buffalo is seeking an Accreditation Manager to oversee the accreditation processes for a variety of residency and fellowship programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring that over 70 ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs, along with 40 nonstandard training programs, comply with the highest standards of excellence. The Accreditation Manager will be responsible for leading strategic accreditation oversight, which includes managing complex projects, providing high-level guidance, and acting as the ACGME Institutional Coordinator. The position requires excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills, analytical skills, and experience working with residency and fellowship programs and hospital affiliates. In this collaborative and team-oriented environment, the Accreditation Manager will interact regularly with GME staff, hospital personnel, residents, and program directors. The role involves significant collaboration with GME Office peers and leaders, including the Sr. Associate Dean/Designated Institutional Official and the Assistant Dean for Education and Resident Services. The Accreditation Manager will also serve as the institutional expert for the MedHub Residency Management System, leading optimization efforts and providing guidance to the accreditation team staff. Additionally, the role includes preparing documents and pulling data for accreditation surveyors, as well as managing the Outside the Match process for reviewing applicants to UB-sponsored residency and fellowship programs.
