2023 SABR Analytics Conference Application

Major League Baseball is sponsoring a select group of qualifying candidates to attend the 12th Annual SABR Analytics Conference, which is a three-day event featuring guest speakers, panels, and presentations on the impact of analytics on the game of baseball. The conference will be held in March 2023 and will be in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual attendance options. Candidates interested in attending in-person will be responsible for covering their own travel expenses to Phoenix, but will have an opportunity to visit with MLB organizations during Spring Training to gain career insights and network with working professionals.

• Attend the 12th Annual SABR Analytics Conference as a sponsored candidate through the Diversity Pipeline Program
• Participate in skill development sessions and networking opportunities with current MLB and Club employees
• Cover own travel expenses to Phoenix if interested in attending in-person
• Visit with MLB organizations during Spring Training in Phoenix to gain career insights and network with working professionals (for in-person attendees)

• Seeking qualified candidates from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds
• Interested in careers in baseball operations such as Salary Arbitration and Major League Operations, Research & Development
• Must be able to attend the 12th Annual SABR Analytics Conference on March 10-12, 2023
• Willing to cover their own travel expenses to Phoenix if interested in attending in-person
• Will have an opportunity to visit with MLB organizations during Spring Training in Phoenix to gain career insights and network with working professionals
• Must be interested in the impact of analytics on the game of baseball
• Will receive a complimentary Rapsodo Certification course ($395 value) as an additional resource thanks to the partnership with SABR.
