About the position
The Global Operations Coordinator is a critical role at Flexport, responsible for executing the end-to-end movement of shipments and supporting the company's mission to make global trade easy for everyone. As a customer-focused individual, you will work closely with partners, subcontractors, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of logistics operations. Your role will involve resolving escalations, analyzing data for continuous improvement, and adhering to standard operating procedures. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Execute the end-to-end movement of ocean, air freight shipments, trucking, and warehousing within a regional network
- Ensure shipments move on time and handle exceptions appropriately
- Serve as the first point of escalation for issue resolution
- Use metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver great performance
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service-level Agreements (SLAs)
- Analyze data to identify defects and support continuous improvement efforts
- Provide excellent customer service and prioritize customer needs
- Troubleshoot and handle challenging customer issues
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree OR 1+ year of relevant experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively empathize and prioritize the needs of a diverse customer base
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including national holidays, weekends, swing or night shifts, and overtime based on business needs
