About the position

Maven is looking for an experienced Senior Product Analyst who can help us solve complex problems and drive value for our members as our product offering expands. As a part of the Product Analytics team, you will partner closely with our Product Management and Engineering teams to lead analytics efforts and enable data-informed decision-making in all aspects of the product development process. You will have the opportunity to impact our product by identifying opportunities for product improvement, uncovering trends in engagement, and analyzing how Maven drives health outcomes for women and families.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant analytics or data science experience
  • Fluency in SQL and a strong background in data visualization
  • Hands-on experience with Python or R
  • An ability to juggle both long-term, strategic projects and ad hoc, urgent requests as needed
  • Experience in collaborating and communicating with team members of varying technical abilities

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across Product and Engineering teams to define success metrics, understand product performance and provide actionable recommendations
  • Identify areas for product improvement and optimization through experimentation and statistical analysis
  • Design and build data structures from both internal and 3rd party sources for use in analysis and reporting (primarily using SQL and Python)
  • Develop reporting and visualizations on product KPIs and user engagement metrics, identifying trends and investigating irregularities
  • Communicate insights and results from analysis to stakeholders across Maven teams, highlighting opportunities to better serve our members
  • Explore new ways to help our team and our company scale, such as introducing new analytics techniques and making internal tool improvements

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with event-based data
  • Knowledge of experimentation and/or statistical modeling
  • Comfort with at least on BI tool (Tableau, Looker), and/or dbt
  • Background in a healthcare-related field
