About the position

Glossier is looking for a collaborative, process oriented, and customer-oriented Retail Operations Associate to support the Retail Operations team and the Retail stores to scale Glossier’s retail channel. This role will primarily support end-to-end business processes within Glossier’s retail experiences, support Retail store openings and work closely with key Retail stakeholders and store leaders. This role is responsible for day to day deliverables such as inventory management, back of house processes and day to day support for Retail store leaders. Reporting to our Sr. Manager of Retail Operations, this role will collaborate closely with Retail store team, CX and operations teams across the business.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience working in retail operations; experience in high-traffic, experiential retail or hospitality a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with project management and process improvement in a Retail environment 
  • Strong communication - ability to communicate effectively with Retail and HQ partners using Glossier digital channels such as Gmail, Slack, etc
  • Experience working closely with vendor, maintaining strong relationships and experience with managing budgets and invoices
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to travel to Glossier’s retail locations in preparation for and post launch

 

Responsibilities

**Six Month Expectations **

  • Supporting the partnership with inventory management (ShipHero) and Point of Sale (Shopify) tools in developing and refining processes and troubleshooting
  • Support Glossier Retail store teams in resolving questions and requests, while showing devotion to our customer and the Retail team experience
  • Develop the New Store Opening (NSO) setup process for Back of House (BOH) and act as on-the-ground support for the opening of future Glossier retail locations through store setup and ongoing post-open support 
  • Managing store supplies to include supplies vendor relationships, Uniforms, Budget Tracking, placing orders, tracking & reordering for store collateral and testing tools
  • Oversee the end-to-end Back of House experience and identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency on both existing and new initiatives, including but not limited to: cycle counts, replenishment process, Buy Online, Pick up in Stores (BOPS), reduction of time to fill (TTF) metric
  • Key liaison with supply chain, logistics, and planning cross functional partners, including for retail inventory levels/allocations and store deliveries 

    Twelve+ Month Expectations

  • Implement self-service solution for store leaders to resolve common tech issues
  • Develop plan for BOH optimization to improve in store efficiency and improve TTF metric
  • Implement holistic Inventory Control plan that gives teams greater visibility in inventory management
  • Occasional projects from SOP Library Audit, Peak Planning for BOH Process, and owning the annual inventory count process

 

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience supporting programs and processes in a scaling retail environment a plus
