About the position

As Payroll Associate, you will have a hand and responsibility in all aspects of the payroll process at Maven Clinic. 
This role will report to our Head of Payroll and is a great opportunity to learn aspects of Finance and People/HR including stock options management, taxable fringe benefit record keeping, payroll audits, and operating and enhancing a best-in-class payroll system.

Requirements

  • Must live within commuting distance to our NYC office. Role is hybrid 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data capture, etc)
  • Possess a basic knowledge of payroll and taxation
  • Able to multitask and have a keen eye for detail and organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Understands and upholds confidentiality
  • Positive attitude and willingness to perform cross-functional tasks as needed
  • ADP Workforce Now experience

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison for Maven Payroll and answer, investigate, and solve payroll issues and inquiries as they arise.
  • Provide pre-payroll reports for reconciliation and verification of data and generate post-payroll reports as needed.
  • Verify the input and reconciliation of Time & Attendance reports prior to bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Ensure all supporting documentation for HRIS transactions is verified and reconciles with payroll register changes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on company-specific payroll practices and demonstrates a commitment to compliant domestic and global practices.
  • Assist with reconciliations and record-keeping needed for payroll audits.
  • Able to work on ad-hoc requests for cross-departmental needs of Finance and People.
  • Escalate matters in a confidential manner.
