About the position

The Head of Internal Communications is a fully remote position that will be responsible for building and executing a world-class internal communications strategy that connects employees with the company’s mission, values, and brand. The Head of Internal Communications will be a key member of the Hims & Hers communication team, reporting directly to the CCO. This senior leader will be an authentic storyteller who brings our culture to life. A trusted partner to the executive team, the head of Internal Communications will provide insight regarding best practices for communicating key issues and initiatives to employees, leading the way for the company to exceed employee engagement goals. 

Requirements

  • 10 years’ experience in Communications (employee/internal communications focus strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for storytelling within corporate and employee communications.
  • Ability to develop, articulate and drive execution of large, long-term strategic communications initiatives
  • An understanding of large, dispersed and complex internal audiences
  • Ability to build strong relationship with peers and senior leadership
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Creative and editorial experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Translate business vision, roadmaps, and goals into a compelling internal communications strategy.
  • Develop content that gets teams rowing in the same direction, drives engagement, and cultivates the culture. 
  • Leverage knowledge and strategic leadership in communications platforms and tools including intranet, All Hands, podcasts, video, mobile and social to further develop and enhance existing internal media while establishing new, innovative internal communication technologies as needed.
  • Engage with employees, championing the best ideas and feedback to make the company move faster and with more impact.
  • Plan a calendar with HR partners for relevant employee updates and celebrations. 
  • Drive cross-functional change and business transformation activities in partnership with other teams.
