About the position

The Strategy & Planning team is responsible for orienting the Taskrabbit business around our long-term goals and objectives, and linking that to how we plan, execute, and hold ourselves accountable. The team focuses on the intersection between the forward-looking work to orient our business on where we need to be in the next 3-5 years, and the tactical processes of aligning our teams around mid-term goals to meet those objectives. The S&P team up-levels the organization by bringing in perspective on competition, the evolving market, and our own business model.
As the Director of Strategy & Planning, you will be responsible for managing a team responsible for long-term strategy and mid-term planning for the Taskrabbit organization. You will be a leader in the organization in positioning how we think about what we’re building over the next 3-5 years to address opportunities in the home services space, and innovate how we best serve our customers and our Taskers. You’ll deeply understand the market, and our different customer groups, and drive longer-term work around how we think about our competition, opportunities in our market, and where we invest our time and our resources.
The team will be the nexus for the organization, bringing together teams with coordinated planning, and accountability around execution. Bridging the gap between our long-term strategy and our shorter-term execution, the S&P team will help increase the effectiveness of teams across Taskrabbit.

Company Overview

Taskrabbit is a marketplace platform that conveniently connects people with Taskers to handle everyday home to-do’s, such as furniture assembly, handyman work, moving help, and much more. Acquired by IKEA Group - the world’s largest furniture retailer - in 2017

At Taskrabbit, we want to make your neighborhood a little more familiar. Whether it’s a handyman (or woman!), a housecleaner, moving help or delivery person, we’re imagining a world where everyone will have a go-to team to make everyday life easier.
