We are looking for a fully remote Senior Frontend Engineer to support the architecture and execution for all frontend efforts across the Teal platform. You will be working with our current front-end engineers who are fantastic and love their craft.


  • Architect and implement best practices for the Teal frontend client
  • Collaborate with backend engineers, designers and business stakeholders
  • Develop and shape the company’s frontend coding standards and processes
  • Grow and build the frontend engineering team


  • 5+ years with various front-end frameworks.
  • 1+ year our stack: React, Redux, Typescript
  • Experience with front-end testing, and you love it
  • Desire to work in a startup environment where helping to build culture and processes is just as important as building code

Nice to Haves:

  • Chrome Extension Experience


  • Working in an early stage company (series Seed & A startups) where process grows along with our team size.
  • Experience working in a 100% remote environment

Skills & Tools You Will Use And Learn

What Great Looks Like

At 1 month:

  • On Day 1 you’ve made your first pull request
  • In 1 Week you have a good idea of how to take the existing frontend client to where it needs to go in terms of high level architecture and low level pattern changes
  • You have moved the needle on the frontend client, structuring it in such a way that future functionality becomes easier, not harder to implement

At 3 months:

  • We are in flow, moving at speed because of the prior foundational work, adding new features, able to iterate and test and measure with confidence

At 6 months:

  • Your tools have been in people’s hands for months
  • You’ve personally seen that your work has affected the lives of thousands of people as they gain employment through the tools you’ve created

What We Offer

  • Salary: $160,000 - $180,000
  • Incentive Stock Options proportionate to salary
  • Fully remote work & remote office stipend (coworking, laptop, etc.)
  • No company wide meetings on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays

  • Up to 12 weeks paid parental leave, earned 1 week for each month of tenure

  • As mentioned we are fully remote, however once per year we pay for the entire company to fly to the same city for a week of fun projects and general team building, think hackathons, boat rides and great food.

Exploratory Interview

  • Goal: High level qualifications & mutual fit
  • 30 minute Zoom with Keith, our CTO.
  • We make sure to preserve 10 minutes for your questions.
  • We will provide the question and guidance  in advance.

Technical Interview

  • Goals: Deeper understanding of qualifications
  • 1-3 hour Zoom with 2 Frontend Engineers
  • This is a *realistic* interview.  No abstract puzzles.  There is a question and answer session, some refactoring, and an architecture question.

Work Culture Interview

  • Goal: Meet more of the Team
  • 60 minute zoom with 2 Teal people
  • We will provide the question and guidance  in advance.

Reference Interviews

  • We will ask for 2 references from your most recent managers that you are comfortable using as references.

Our Current Team & Process

Our engineering team is currently 8 people: 4 frontend, 4 backend

We are a kanban styled team, with VERY few meetings, and very light process.
