About the position
The Vice President role at Access Holdings Management Company LLC is a mid-senior level position that offers a partner-track opportunity within the firm. The VP will be responsible for managing and driving various aspects of the investment life cycle, including generating investment theses, sourcing deals, executing transactions, raising capital, managing portfolios, and exiting investments. Additionally, the VP will play a crucial role in expanding the firm's network and building relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires extensive experience in private equity investing and value creation, as well as the ability to serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Profile investment themes and approaches and conduct research and analysis on prospective investments
- Lead and oversee various aspects of transactions, including financial modeling, investor presentations, due diligence frameworks, and lender presentations
- Coordinate the execution of investment transactions with all involved parties, such as legal counsel, diligence providers, investors, and internal operations
- Assist in negotiations with potential partners, including letters of intent, purchase agreements, credit agreements, and executive employment agreements
- Develop trust-based relationships with portfolio executives and senior leadership
- Monitor the performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments
- Prepare and present deal information to the investment committee
- Create and maintain deal flow databases, identify potential targets, and prepare due diligence reports and analysis
- Conduct market and industry research, qualify investment opportunities, and provide updates
- Mentor and train analysts and associates in financial and valuation modeling
- Stay informed on capital market dynamics, disclosure requirements, tracking policies, and regulatory compliances
- Engage in board meetings of portfolio companies
- Maintain ongoing relationships with external investors and partners
- Support fundraising efforts by building investor relationships
Requirements
- Multiple years of private equity investing and value creation experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in investment thesis generation, deal sourcing, deal execution, debt and equity capital raising, portfolio management, and exit of portfolio investments
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with key parties such as investors, bankers, portfolio company executives, investment targets, advisors, and limited partners
- Proficient in financial modeling, investor presentations, due diligence frameworks, and lender presentations
- Skilled in negotiations with potential partners including letters of intent, purchase agreements, credit agreements, and executive employment agreements
- Experience in monitoring performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments
- Ability to prepare and present deal information to the investment committee
- Proficient in conducting market and industry research, qualifying investment opportunities, and providing rolling updates
- Strong mentoring and training skills to develop financial and valuation models in analysts and associates
- Knowledge of capital market dynamics, disclosure requirements, tracking policies, and regulatory compliances
- Ability to engage, prepare, and participate in board meetings of portfolio companies
- Experience in maintaining ongoing relationships with external investors and partners
- Strong fundraising skills and ability to build investor relationships
