About the position
Humane is seeking a talented individual to join their Computer Vision Team as part of their 2024 Internship Program. The team is responsible for developing key technologies for Humane's new class of mobile devices and services, working closely with Software Engineering teams to create groundbreaking experiences. The role involves designing, developing, and testing robust CV/ML pipelines, enabling new ways of interacting with technology, and executing massive scale model training and validation workflows. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, and experience with C++, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next shift between humans and computing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test robust and reliable CV/ML pipelines
- Collaborate with device and cloud service engineers to enable new ways of interacting with technology
- Define and execute massive scale model training and validation workflows
- Work with a team to develop groundbreaking new experiences in computer vision
- Utilize C++ and Python programming languages
- Familiarity with Computer Vision/Machine Learning
- Experience with CV or Deep Learning frameworks such as OpenCV, Pytorch, TensorFlow
- Strong foundation in 3D geometry, linear algebra, kinematics, and optimization
- Experience in sensor calibration, computer vision system design, digital image processing, or computer graphics
- Ability to drive tasks independently and effectively communicate issues and needs
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and/or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working with C++
- Familiarity with Computer Vision / Machine Learning
- Experience working with Python (preferred)
- Strong programming, debugging, and design skills
- Experience with CV or Deep Learning frameworks that include OpenCV, Pytorch, TensorFlow
- Strong foundation in 3D geometry, linear algebra, kinematics, and optimization
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: sensor calibration, computer vision system design, digital image processing, or computer graphics
- Ability to drive tasks independently and to escalate and clearly communicate issues and needs
