We're seeking a dynamic Zone Sales Manager to oversee and expand our market presence in your designated region. The Zone Sales Manager is responsible for leading a regional sales organization comprised of Value Added Resellers (VARS) and Manufacturer's Representatives (Region Dependent) in the attainment of revenue and profitability targets which vary by territory. This person will have primary responsibility for all Network Power customer activity in the territory. This home-based position may be located in the following states or near a major airport: Illinois - Chicago, Minnesota - Minneapolis, Texas - Dallas.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Value Added Resellers and Manufacturer's Representatives to achieve territory sales and profitability targets by strengthening relationships with existing accounts and building relationships with new accounts.
  • Hire, train, guide and motivate each employee to develop 'best in class skills' and achieve exceptional performance.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers at major accounts.
  • Earn credibility within the industry and demonstrate solid knowledge of competitive strategies and consumer trends.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to develop products, programs and promotions that maximize consumer satisfaction.
  • Plan and direct the execution of strategic sales initiatives for each account and maximize the opportunities of the accounts through effective use of POS, inventory and internal reporting information and pull-through programs.
  • Analyze and adjust the alignment of sales territories; develop sales forecasts.
  • Work closely with senior management to establish sales plans and strategic objectives for Network Power.
  • Evaluate technical details outlined in Request for Proposal (RFP) and respond to the specific requirements.
  • Conduct customer visits, training, prospecting, and problem resolution.
  • Present at trade shows and attend Stryten training programs as required.
  • Perform call and expense reporting, budget planning and execution.
  • Interface with Account Managers for feedback and execute directives from the Director of Sales.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and resolve Accounts Receivable issues.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years of sales management experience preferably in the battery industry.
  • Effective leadership skills with well-developed sales management skills.
  • Outstanding track record of leading others, influencing decisions and making a positive impact.
  • Progressive responsible career history and demonstrated success in territory or key account management.
  • Possess high level of business acumen and the quantitative/analytical capacity to understand complex sales processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office, Salesforce and Internet.

Benefits

  • Base salary range: $133,000 - $156,000 per year.
  • Eligible for a full range of medical, dental and vision benefits.
  • Additional compensation may include bonus, equity, or commissions.
