About the position

The Youth Prevention Department Supervisor at Centinela Youth Services, Inc. is responsible for leading and managing the service navigation program aimed at supporting youth and families in need. This role focuses on implementing restorative justice practices and community wellness strategies to transform responses to youth behaviors, moving away from punitive measures. The supervisor will oversee a team of case managers, ensuring quality service delivery and fostering partnerships with various community agencies to enhance support for youth and families.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor prevention case managers, providing guidance and support in their roles.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the service navigation program, ensuring alignment with the agency's vision.
  • Facilitate collaborative meetings and manage grant projects to ensure program success.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, justice system partners, and community agencies.
  • Monitor case referrals and staff schedules to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training for staff and interns.
  • Document and collect data for reporting and compliance with grant requirements.
  • Advocate for systemic and policy changes within educational and justice agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least five years of experience in a similar setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker license.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience serving adolescents with a family-centered approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
  • Significant staff management experience.
