Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • COLA DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access procedures, government location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Document visitor activity, deliveries, and/or incidents, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations with professionalism, using de-escalation techniques and established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned buildings, entrances, and perimeter areas as directed by post orders and location needs.
