About the position

The Yard Associate position at Master Halco is a full-time role focused on supporting the operations of the branch office by performing various tasks related to product handling and customer service. The associate will be responsible for accurately preparing orders, operating forklifts, and maintaining a clean and organized yard environment. This role is essential for ensuring efficient product delivery and customer satisfaction in the fencing industry.

Responsibilities

• Review order documents to prepare for accurate product pulling for customers
• Drive forklift to load/unload trailers (70% of the time)
• Manually sort and stage material in the yard (30% of the time)
• Safely use a forklift to maintain yard stock
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment
• Accurately load trucks for outgoing shipments
• Receive inbound materials and put them away
• Complete work orders and receiving documents accurately
• Pull and prepare orders for packaging and shipment
• Rotate yard stock and safely move materials using a forklift
• Work with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

• 1+ year experience in a warehouse/yard position
• Forklift experience (sitdown) highly desired
• Ability to lift/move heavy materials (up to 60lbs) on occasion
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions required
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
