About the position

The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality radiographs in compliance with CityMD protocols and Department of Health regulations. This role involves performing various X-ray studies efficiently, maintaining accurate documentation, troubleshooting equipment, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring cleanliness in the work environment. The position emphasizes exceptional patient care and safety while working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Performing common X-ray studies within specified time limits.
• Documenting X-ray studies and facilitating communication between Providers and Radiologists.
• Maintaining accurate records of quality control logbooks and compliance with Department of Health regulations.
• Troubleshooting equipment and software malfunctions and notifying management as needed.
• Assisting with patient flow and maintaining communication among clinical staff.
• Performing vital signs and documenting results in the EMR.
• Assisting with CLIA waived tests, EKGs, splints, sling placement, and crutch usage.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the site, including waiting rooms and exam areas.
• Providing exceptional patient care and ensuring safety and best practices.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited X-ray Technologist program.
• 4-6 months of previous experience in the field preferred.
• Strong communication skills for clear patient instructions.
• Ability to perform basic X-rays and position patients appropriately.
• Knowledge of beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques.
• Flexibility with full-time work schedule including weekends.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Functional knowledge of various computer systems.
• Bilingual language skills preferred based on site location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
