About the position
The Wound Care Specialist position at Wound360 is a part-time, per diem role focused on providing exceptional wound care across skilled nursing facilities in Colorado. The role requires a licensed medical professional to deliver high-quality patient care, perform wound care rounds, and collaborate with healthcare teams. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care immediately.
Responsibilities
- Travel to skilled nursing facilities to perform wound care rounds.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver essential patient care.
- Provide expert care for chronic, surgical, and dermatologic wounds.
- Perform bedside debridement, dressing changes, and G-tube care (with training available).
- Maintain accurate and timely records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Requirements
- Active Colorado NP, DO, MD, or PA license.
- Wound Care Certification preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in wound care preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in home health surgery.
- Certified Nurse Practitioners are a plus.
