About the position

The Workforce Strategy and Optimization Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the Workforce Strategy and Optimization team at SSM Health. This position is responsible for managing and analyzing performance data and productivity information to control labor expenses effectively. The manager engages with team members and system leaders to coordinate labor strategy activities across the organization, ensuring alignment with the enterprise's strategic plan and vision.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and merges complex data from multiple data sources for daily/weekly position control activities.
  • Provides support to management in the use of position control data for decision making.
  • Coordinates preparation of position control files for utilization system wide.
  • Assists senior leadership in reviewing FTE utilization by pay period and provides updates reports as requested.
  • Utilizes critical thinking and customer-oriented approach to respond to inquiries while providing support and education to hiring managers.
  • Manages complex data to support scheduled updates to workforce analytics and dashboards providing labor insights to all ministries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in healthcare administration, nursing, organizational development, business, quality or related field
  • Three years' experience in healthcare administration, nursing, organizational development, business, quality or related field
