About the position

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Women’s ER Nurse to join our team. This role involves performing direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. The Registered Nurse will utilize therapeutic communication, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, and identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. The position requires planning individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and participating in performance improvement activities. The Women’s ER Nurse will provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Promote customer service initiatives along with Centennial Medical Center Service Values (HCAHPS).
  • Document all patient care in a timely manner.
  • Utilize the Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
  • Promote compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.

Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.).
  • Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or appropriate compact State.
  • BLS certification.
  • RN experience required.
  • Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred.
