About The Position

Methodist Medical Group is seeking an experienced full-time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join their OBGYN clinic in the southern sector of Dallas, Texas. This clinic is part of a premier physician-led organization affiliated with Methodist Health System, dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women and families throughout their reproductive journey. The clinic is described as busy and community-focused, committed to empowering individuals through education and personalized support. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and compassionate professional focused on comprehensive, patient-centered care for women from adolescence through menopause, with an emphasis on pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support. This role offers a collaborative environment focused on positive birth outcomes and women's health advocacy.

Requirements

  • Completion of a WHNP program, board certification
  • Current, unencumbered licensure as a WHNP in the State of Texas or eligibility for licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • 2 years of recent, relevant experience as a practicing WHNP (not able to accept new grads at this time)
  • IUD insertion and removals (willing to train)

  • Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and individualized care plans.
  • Assist in managing prenatal patients in collaboration with the OB/GYN physician.
  • Conduct well-woman exams, family planning counseling, and gynecological care.
  • Educate patients and their families on various health topics, including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and women's health.
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively, initiating appropriate interventions and seeking consultation when necessary.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
