About the position

The Wyoming Judicial Branch, Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, seeks to hire a Staff Development Coordinator to coordinate conferences and events, manage the Wyoming Judicial Branch (Branch) Learning Management System (LMS), and collect and report on feedback from Branch training programs to assist with enhancing employee and stakeholder skills and knowledge. This position assists with reviewing educational materials including editing and publishing drafts. The Wyoming Supreme Court is the final arbiter of cases that arise under state law. Its decisions are final except for cases that involve a question of federal law, which can be appealed to the United States Supreme Court. The AOC assists the Judicial Branch in fulfilling its constitutional and statutory functions by providing administrative, technical, financial, payroll, auditing, and human resources support to over 300 employees. Our goal is to provide services in an accurate, timely, efficient, and equitable manner. Our offices are in Cheyenne, Wyoming which is home to Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo and abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation. Cheyenne, the Capitol of Wyoming, is a growing metropolitan area that thrives on its Western heritage.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate professional development events, conferences, workshops, and seminars.
  • Manage logistics, including scheduling, securing venues, purchasing, preparing materials, coordinating speakers, arranging travel, and managing event registration.
  • Ensure smooth execution of events, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and provide post-event follow-up to measure success.
  • Maintain a calendar of development programs, ensuring timely communication and promotion to all staff members.
  • Manage and maintain the LMS, ensuring it is fully operational and accessible for all employees.
  • Upload, organize, and track training content, course modules, and learning materials within the LMS.
  • Monitor LMS usage, troubleshoot system issues, and collaborate with IT or external vendors to resolve technical problems.
  • Generate reports on training completion, performance, and other key metrics from the LMS.
  • Coordinate and track employee participation, including judges, in required certification programs. Track completion of continuing education credits.
  • Communicate information to employees in a clear and timely manner.
  • Serve as point of contact to all branch employees on education programs, events, and the LMS.
  • Respond quickly to requests for assistance from employees and stakeholders, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and education on relevant issues.
  • Anticipate employee and stakeholder needs and develop solutions.
  • Review and edit manuals, guides, FAQs, quick tips, and other written content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax errors.
  • Provide feedback on the organization and flow of content, making suggestions to improve clarity, readability, and engagement.
  • Work closely with writers and content creators to ensure the final product meets content objectives.
  • Ensure all content adheres to the company's style guide, maintaining consistency in tone, style, and voice across various media.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of training programs through feedback surveys, performance metrics, and assessments.
  • Prepare regular reports on staff development activities, highlighting outcomes, improvements, and areas for further growth.
  • Accurately maintain files and records, and input data into databases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communication, education, human resources, legal studies, or a closely related field.
  • One (1) or more years of relevant work experience, or four (4) years of relevant work experience is required without a degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Executive assistant experience or experience managing software applications.
