About the position
The IT Manager for the Wyoming Judicial Branch is responsible for overseeing the operations, acquisition, maintenance, and service of IT systems that support court operations. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise to align IT strategies with the objectives of the Wyoming Judicial Branch. The position offers the possibility of remote or hybrid work within the state and involves managing a team while ensuring the effective functioning of IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operations, acquisition, maintenance, and service of IT systems including asset management, applications, databases, hardware, and software products.
- Lead and motivate the IT Infrastructure team, providing clear direction and support to achieve project goals.
- Plan, design, and deploy branch LANs, WANs, vNETs, and vLANs.
- Evaluate current infrastructure use and needs of the branch and recommend software and hardware improvements.
- Oversee all aspects of cloud/virtual and physical network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
- Manage security solutions and direct security audits, responding to cybersecurity threats.
- Provide second-tier help desk support for technical questions and issues for court personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Four or more years of IT work experience with increasing levels of responsibility, or a minimum of seven years of work experience without a degree.
- Extensive knowledge in managing and configuring Azure services, including Firewall, VPN Gateway, and Network Security Groups.
Nice-to-haves
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure, Cisco, or Palo Alto.
- Experience with ConnectWise Automate.
