About the position
The Middle School Boys Basketball Assistant Coach at DREAM is a part-time, seasonal role focused on coaching and developing middle school students in basketball. The position emphasizes the importance of teamwork, skill development, and fostering a positive sports environment. The coach will work closely with the Athletics team to ensure the growth and sustainability of the basketball program, contributing to the overall mission of DREAM to support youth development through sports and education.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coaching the middle school boys basketball team during practices and games.
- Support the development of players' skills and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the Middle School OST and Athletics Director to plan practices and game strategies.
- Ensure a positive and inclusive environment for all players.
- Attend evening and weekend games as scheduled.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience working with middle school-aged students.
- Understanding of basketball as both a player and a coach.
- Ability to commit to the scheduled practices and games.

- Experience in competitive basketball coaching.
