About the position
The WISe Youth Partner at the Center for Human Services is responsible for supporting youth in engaging with the Wraparound Child & Family Team, ensuring their voices are heard and helping them make informed decisions. This role involves working with youth and families facing complex needs across various systems, including criminal justice and mental health, while utilizing personal experiences to empower youth in managing their care.
Responsibilities
- Support youth in engaging with the Wraparound Child & Family Team.
- Ensure the youth's voice is expressed and heard in the decision-making process.
- Utilize personal experience to help youth gain confidence and skills in directing their own care.
- Work with youth and families involved in multiple systems such as criminal justice, mental health, and substance abuse.
- Assist in navigating complex systems and advocating for youth needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of experience navigating youth and family systems such as juvenile justice, mental health, and substance abuse.
- Understanding of strengths-based family-driven services.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Current Washington State Driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Agency Affiliated Counselor credential.
- Strong advocacy and oral communication skills.
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
