About the position
The Western PA Agronomic Pesticide Education Assistant will support educational activities related to agronomic pesticides in Pennsylvania, particularly in Mercer and Butler Counties. This role involves planning and coordinating educational events, presenting pesticide safety information, and assisting local agronomy educators with various tasks. The position requires travel within the region and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning pesticide meetings and educational events.
- Prepare supplies and coordinate local events.
- Present pesticide safety and integrated pest management information to farmers.
- Support local Agronomy Educator with tasks from the Field and Forage Crops Team.
- Report impact data of activities using CRM software.
- Communicate activities with the team and area managers.
- Complete required professional development and training.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel.
- Ability to present information effectively to groups.
- Experience with CRM software systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in agronomy or agricultural education.
- Familiarity with pesticide safety regulations.
