About the position

The 2nd Shift Wellness Supervisor assists in maintaining the operations of Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Community by providing daily guidance, feedback, and supervision to the second shift wellness staff. The Wellness Supervisor promotes a nursing philosophy that maximizes the overall health and wellbeing of residents by emphasizing independence and creating opportunities for cultivating purpose. We are committed to providing preventative, restorative, and person-centered care to all residents at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being. The Wellness Supervisor provides clinical leadership and management of the health/wellbeing of residents through collaborating with Personal Care Partners/Wellness Manager/General Manager to ensure residents are engaged and supported, actively engaging with residents to provide encouragement and nursing care, reviewing resident care summaries/services to observe staff documentation/medication records for accuracy, and assesses residents to note any physical, psychological, or social changes to report them to the Wellness Manager and General Manager. As part of the leadership team at Ernest P. Barka, the Wellness Supervisor actively participates in staff meetings, peer support/evaluations, new employee orientation programs, educational programs, community sponsored programs, and further, provides support, resources, guidance, and feedback to staff. The Wellness Supervisor may be required to be on-call when deemed necessary and must be able to work the hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position, including weekends and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily guidance, feedback, and supervision to the second shift wellness staff.

  • Ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives.
  • Provide clinical leadership and management of the health/wellbeing of residents.
  • Collaborate with Personal Care Partners/Wellness Manager/General Manager.
  • Engage with residents to provide encouragement and nursing care.
  • Review resident care summaries/services for accuracy.
  • Assess residents for physical, psychological, or social changes.
  • Participate in staff meetings, peer support/evaluations, and new employee orientation programs.
  • Provide support, resources, guidance, and feedback to staff.
  • Be on-call when necessary and work scheduled hours including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN or LPN); RN preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years Health Care experience, Assisted Living environment preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid, unencumbered New Hampshire RN or LPN license.
  • Certification in Gerontology is preferred.
  • CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
  • New Hampshire Resident Assessment Certified.
